The new face of some of the Station Farm land is seen in the apple orchards which have been established at the beginning of the twenty first century.
Chris Branch says in 2011:
"Whinhill Plantation", or "Top Wood", as the Calvers knew it, consisted of arable fields which fronted Station Road and Burnham Road.
Crops were grown in rotation:- sugar beet, barley, wheat, and some near "Back Wood" was even seeded for hay, but now what a change! Since purchase of more of Station Farm land, in the 1990's, as pictured, a Cider Apple Orchard has been established by the Whinhill Cider Company from Wells, on part of the land. It looked wonderful in early May 2011."
