Chris Branch photographed in 1965 by his fiancee Diane, at Station Farm, Stanhoe.
Chris Branch says in 2011:
“I am so pleased to be able to share my memories of Station Farm and the Calver family with you. Station Farm was so important to me and my cousins as we were all taken for holidays there.”
“New laws, preventing children from riding on tractors meant that I could no longer ride on them with my Uncle Harcourt. When I was about 10 years old, I had to switch my allegiance to Uncle Harry, who taught me to drive his pick-up truck (second gear only), how to shoot, stack straw bales, eventually hump corn, and to swear a bit. He was a tease and a mentor and I was so glad to have known him.”
