Stanhoe Parish Council Matters:–

• Volunteers:– Now we have to endure a second lock-down, please remember we still have volunteers ready to get provisions, shopping or medicine etc if any help is needed. Please call our Clerk, Wayne Leighton on 01485 518570 or David Lord on 01485 518727 if we can assist in any way.

Parish Council Meetings 2021:–

We continue to conduct our meetings by conference call but hope we will all be able to actually meet in the Reading Room soon. The scheduled dates for our meetings in 2021 are as follows:–

• 14th January
• 11th March
• 13th May
• 15th July
• 9th September
• 11th November

Finally:– We hope you all have a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year and, as always, please let us know if we can do anything to further enhance life in Stanhoe (particularly given current circumstances!

Cycling duo:–

News hot from the cycling duo:

“Just another quick update to say that we have still been pottering around on the bikes, and we enjoyed the late heat wave, although the incentive is waning somewhat with the more wintry weather, and it looks as though a couple of days will be write-offs!”

“As of 14th November, therefore, we have covered 860 miles…. Not bad for a couple of old crocks!”

Hunstanton Community Choir:–

Our very sociable weekly rehearsals ground to a halt in March, as lock down started. Never a good thing for a choir which was looking forward to rehearsing and performing at our 10th anniversary concert and ultimately our Christmas Carol sing-a-long. It is regrettable that these lovely events have been cancelled.

However, all is not lost. We are continuing to work behind the scenes and there is a very strong desire to return to singing and performing as soon as we can.

Rest assured we will be back, stronger than ever next year, when we can once again contribute to the community while continuing to support local charities with the funds we raise.

We anticipate being in the hands of a new Musical Director and will welcome new members. Singing with us is great fun, sociable and you do not have to be able to read music to join us. Please keep an eye on Town and Around, both the newsletter and the web page;-
