Stanhoe Parish Council Matters:–

• Norfolk County Council Rangers:– You may have noticed the Rangers have visited the village and tidied the footpath from the Bircham Road to The Duck, have cleared the Cross Lane ditches, and the road sweeper has cleaned alongside the kerbs, all in order to keep the village looking smart. Any similar jobs which consider need addressing should be referred to Wayne Leighton, Parish Clerk at parishclerk@stanhoe.org or on 01485 518570.

• No other special news from the Parish Council this month:– but please note the next Parish Council meeting will take place on Thursday September 26th at 6:00pm in the Reading Room. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Reminder:– Jigsaw Puzzle Club:–

Did you know that there is a free Jigsaw Puzzle lending library in Docking? It meets on the third Tuesday of the month, September - April inclusive and is available to everyone wherever they live.

We have about 350 puzzles in stock with new ones being added all the time, so a good variety of size, complexity and subject matter are available and you can borrow as many as you like for as long as you like.

New members are very welcome (no joining fee) please contact Susan Pease on 01485 518605 for further details and where to meet.

The Puzzle Club re-starts after the summer break on Tuesday 17th September from 3:00–5:00pm.

The remaining meetings in 2019 will be on 15th October, 19th November & 17th December.

The Old and The New:–

Thursday 5th September 2:00pm:– Please join us to hear Heather Flint talk about the traditional craft of smocking, with samples of work for us to admire. The Reading Room, Cross Lane, Stanhoe PE31 8PS

Medical detection dogs:– all welcome

Thursday 3rd October 2:00pm:– Visitors are welcome to our talk by Norma Howell, “Medical Detection Dogs”. Norma will guide us through the world of bio-detection and the increasingly popular use of medical alert assistance dogs.

Brancaster Camera Club:–

We only have one evening planned for 24th September which is an evening with David Morris, a professional photographer.

Visitors are most welcome. We meet in Brancaster Staithe village Hall at 7:30 pm. Entrance is £3 to include coffee, etc.

My mother said that was correct.
My teacher confirmed it was true.
