Reminder:– the next Parish Council meeting will take place on Thursday September 26th at 6:00pm in the Reading Room. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Sniff out an interesting talk:–
Thursday 3rd October 2:00pm: Visitors are most welcome to our talk by Norma Howell, “Medical Detection Dogs”. Norma will guide us through the world of bio-detection and the increasingly popular use of medical alert assistance dogs.
WI information:–
Tuesday 22nd October:– A visit to RAF Marham, in conjunction with the Sedgeford branch of The Royal British Legion. All places are now taken.
Thursday 7th November:– This is our Annual Meeting, so is for members only. Sorry!

Stanhoe Village Screen:–
Stanhoe Village Screen are pleased to announce our films for the Autumn season which will be shown on our new ‘state of the art’ audio visual equipment. We are extremely grateful to The Borough of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, The Geoffrey Watling Charity and The Mary Esther Hollway Trust who have jointly funded this equipment.
We start the Autumn season with:–
Fisherman’s Friends (12A) Comedy/ Drama/Music;- on Wednesday 2nd October 2019 at 7:30pm
The uplifting true story of the part-time sea shanty group that hit the big time. This British comedy has wit, warmth and energy with a flavour of Ealing studios about it.

Red Joan (12A) Biography/Drama/Romance;- on Friday 8th November at 7:30pm
Joan Stanley is a widow living out a quiet retirement in the suburbs when shockingly, the British Secret Service places her under arrest. The charge: providing classified scientific information to the Soviet government. As the interrogation gets underway, Joan relives the dramatic events that shaped her life and her beliefs. Judi Dench and Sophie Cookson star in this tense thriller.

Brancaster Camera Club:–

Tuesday 8th October:– We have a very special evening planned. The return of Gavin Hoey with his presentation ‘Camera Alchemy’. Gavin’s style is unique and this is certainly the highlight of our year. Entrance will be £5 to include refreshments.
