- The beginning of April:-
“The First of April, some do say
Is set apart for All Fools’ Day;
But why do people call it so,
Not I, nor they themselves do know.”
- The middle of April:-
The arrival of the cuckoo is the signal that spring has come as it arrivevs some time in mid April, although if North Norfolk Radio is to be believed, one caller said they heard a cuckoo in March !
In April I open my bill
In May I sing night and day
In June I change my tune
In July far far I fly
In August away I must.
- The end of April:-
Easter is towards the end of April this year as it has to be the first Sunday after the full moon.
