The planning application and appeal processes have been completed in regard to wind farms at Chiplow and Jack’s Lane and permission has been granted. Sing for Joy:-

A message from Pamela Austin:

Sing for Joy consists of four separate groups with the same musical director. We sing harmony pieces, mostly African, gospel, Russian, and traditional songs, some old and some modern, along with a few “fun” pieces and the odd pop song. We sing without accompaniment, words or music – just energetic conducting!

Our next joint concert will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday 30th September, in the glorious setting of Binham Priory.

Proceeds from the modest entry charge will support a local charity. I hope to see you there!

Stanhoe Village Screen:-

Wed 10th Oct: –Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’

Adapted from Paul Torday’s hit novel and starring Ewan McGregor, Kristin Scott Thomas and Emily Blunt. Fred Jones, a fisheries expert is asked to introduce salmon into the waterways of the Yemen, which he regards as a frivolous and unfeasible project. Yet as the mission begins, they soon find hope can spring even in the most unexpected places. A journey of self discovery and late blooming love which is hugely enjoyable and certain to put a smile on your face!

Tickets £5 on the door to include a complimentary drink.
