“Not cowed by Corona” is how Stanhoe’s MEHM Trust chairman Laura Pocock describes her approach to an exhibition planned to take place this month at her gallery Pocock’s the artmonger in Burnham Market.

With the shop closed to visitors, Laura has launched a virtual event instead. The exhibition, entitled Animalia, features dozens of sculptures, paintings, drawings and prints – all of creatures great and small.

There’s nothing virtual about the exhibits, however. Everything is for sale, and buyers can collect their purchases from the gallery once restrictions are lifted. For smaller items, Laura is also offering a postal delivery service.

“Artists are really suffering financially right now, so if you would like to buy something to help me support them, that would be great,” Laura says. “If not, I hope you enjoy the exhibition and I look forward to seeing you in person soon.”
