Soggy gardens
Stanhoe’s Open Gardens afternoon in aid of All Saints’ church went ahead despite heavy rain.
A big thank-you to Nigel Wickens for organising the event, and to everyone who opened their gardens; helped to run the raffle, the various stalls and the art exhibition; contributed raffle prizes, plants, bric-a-brac and books for sale; made tea and cakes; and made possible the fine evening concert.

Update 14 June: Nigel says the money raised in aid of the church now stands at £1,250 and will probably rise a little further – an impressive total in view of the terrible weather.
