Packing ’em in

Stanhoe’s Tuesday coffee mornings are going strong.

Yesterday’s coffee morning in the Reading Room & Village Hall attracted 15 Stanhoe residents – not counting three regular attenders who were missing for various reasons, reports Pamela Austin.

“I don’t know whether that was a record, but I’m sure I have never seen that many on board on a Tuesday morning before, so let’s hope it continues,” Pamela said. “There was lots of animated chat, to-ing and fro-ing to the kitchen, and cutting of Pen’s lovely fruit cake – and only at 12.10 did anyone notice the time and realise that it was time we left!”

So if you’re around in Stanhoe on Tuesdays from 10 am and haven’t yet discovered the pleasures of the regular coffee morning, please do drop in.
