A reel good night

Stanhoe’s Burns Night celebration goes down well.

25 January was Burns Night in Stanhoe Reading Room & Village Hall. An evening of good food and dancing.

Scottish dancing in the Reading Room

After some very fine fare of beef ragu and haggis there was a wonderful display of Scottish country dancing, led by Bob Carrick who encouraged everyone to take part.

The event was sold out a week in advance and is a first of the season’s events for Stanhoe Village Hall, attended by local people and their friends. It was a fun and really enjoyable evening with lots of laughter – and who knew we could dance the Eightsome Reel?
