Sitting pretty

Stanhoe village hall gets smart new chairs.

Mark Roche takes a well-earned break next to the new chairs and piles of wrapping material

Former “chair man” Mark Roche takes a well-earned break. Unwrapping the new chairs took Mark and current MEHM chairman Laura Pocock two hours yesterday.

Thanks to the Norfolk Community Foundation the Village Hall & Reading Room is now the proud owner of 40 new chairs. They add to the existing 47 padded chairs and can also be used outside. “There is a plan afoot to create an outside seating area, so they can be used for that but also for any outdoor functions that we get bookings for,” says Laura Pocock.
