Gardens success

Stanhoe Open Gardens raises a record sum for church funds.

This year’s Stanhoe Open Gardens Day, held on Saturday 1 June, was a great success all round, with lots of visitors commenting on the lovely atmosphere in the village.

Plant stall

A record amount was raised for church funds, thanks to all the hard work put in by those hosting our stalls and the generous contributions to the stalls from friends and neighbours.

It was a particularly bumper year for the plants, thanks to Laura Pocock (and her extended family!) and Pauline Campion, who put on a great show in Parsons Lane.

Cake stall

The attraction of the WI centenary exhibition in the Church was a very welcome addition to enjoyment of the day.
