Gillian and Ken in their garden in Stanhoe

Ken and his wife Gillian lived for many years at Bramley Cottage in Stanhoe. Ken was not much involved in village affairs but supported Gillian in her work with the WI, Stanhoe Archive and many other activities.

Ken was a professional botanist who created the Stanhoe variety of geranium. He authored an impressive number of books for gardeners, as you can see on Amazon and Worldcat.

Gillian died in August 2016, and in February 2017 Ken moved to a smaller house in Docking.
