Stanhoe Village Screen starts the summer season with Charade (PG) (Comedy/Thriller) on Thursday 11 May at 7.30 pm.

Celebrating the 60th birthday of this classic comedy thriller. After Regina Lampert (Hepburn) falls for the dashing Peter Joshua (Grant) on a skiing holiday in the French Alps, she discovers upon her return to Paris that her husband has been murdered. Soon, she finds herself threatened by three of her late husband’s World War II cronies, Tex (James Coburn), Scobie (George Kennedy) and Gideon (Ned Glass), who are after a quarter of a million dollars the quartet stole while behind enemy lines. Peter seems to be on her side, but why does he keep changing his name? It’s Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn at the top of their game with lovely Parisian settings and music by Mancini!
