More information on “the barn chapel”, the original chapel in Stanhoe, and the Wesleyan Chapel, and The Cross, can be found on 00229, 01136, 01007, 00287. 00903.

The Primitive Methodist Chapel was built in 1892 using money given by Henry Calthrop Hollway of Stanhoe Grange, as the previous small “barn chapel” was too small for the congregation.
“The Cross” , the base of the old cross leading down Cross Lane to St.Peter’s Chapel, is in the foreground.
