    The “Millennium Cross” , built on top of the old Cross base, was erected to mark the year 2000, and was paid for by the Parish Council. It is still referred to as The Cross , and originally marked the way down Cross Lane to the ancient chapel on Chapel Field, which has long since disappeared.
