Note the large elm trees along the roadside and the low hedge between the school and the road. On the left is the gable end of Bramley Cottage. The plot in the foreground against Church Lane is empty, the bungalow being built 30 years later.

    Stanhoe School is the long low building on the right of Church Lane.
