Leo, in the Docking Road , was the home of Mr Eric Blackburn and his wife Mrs Eva Blackburn.
It is the home mentioned in the recordings made by Mrs Blackburn where she describes how electricity and piped water came to Stanhoe.
The kitchen extension on the left was added several years after the electricity and piped water came to Stanhoe.
As is very obvious the Blackburn’s were keen gardeners, with both a wonderful flower display and a productive vegetable garden, both at the front of the house.
