Stanhoe Archive

Stanhoe Archive is the local history group. We are active in transcribing documents dating from the 14th century to the 1970s, collecting old photos, interviewing Stanhoe residents for our oral history collection, and researching the history of the village through maps and fieldwalking.

Awards for All logoIn 2008 we were the happy recipients of a grant of £2,590 from the National Lottery under the Awards for All scheme. We have used this money to buy a professional-quality digital recording machine for our oral history work, a digital projector and screen for presentations, and other equipment and materials for displays and conservation.
