Open Gardens

Stanhoe’s Open Gardens day on 3 June raised around £2,700 for All Saints’ church.

A fine day for Open Gardens

It was a fine warm day, with a refreshing hint of a breeze when we set up shop, and although not inundated, we did have a steady flow of visitors all afternoon. Many were very complimentary about the village and its gardens.

The weather remained fine, and a record (?) 10 gardens were open, with the addition of The Grange to the usual suspects, making a varied group of styles and designs.  The usual stalls were open, ranging from books via bric-a-brac to plants, and the cream teas at the Old Rectory were much appreciated as usual.

The interim total amount raised in aid of All Saints’ church was £2,700, although the final amount may be slightly different.
