Last call for energy survey

Researcher needs just a couple more volunteers to complete his work.

Dr Thomas RobertsResearcher Dr Thomas Roberts (photo) of the University of Surrey needs just two or three more volunteers to finish his survey of local attitudes to renewable energy.

More than a dozen people from Stanhoe and Syderstone have already given Tom their thoughts on how we produce and use energy. To complete the work he is keen to hear from people in North and South Creake, though anyone who lives within sight of Jack’s Lane wind farm will be welcome.

When Tom began his study last year construction of the Chiplow wind farm had not started and the Jack’s Lane solar farm was not yet at the formal planning stage. Now that the Chiplow turbines are in place and we have more details of the solar project, this is a good time to make known your views on renewable energy – for or against.

Tom is asking participants take part in an interview lasting up to two hours, for which they receive £20. He plans to visit the area again at the beginning of February.

If you are interested in taking part in the study, or simply find out more, contact Dr Thomas Roberts, , phone 07713 455048.
