Joan Foskett

Joan Foskett, a former long-time Stanhoe resident, has died.

Joan Foskett in 2010Joan died at home in Gloucestershire on Sunday 8 January.

Her daughter Jane Stevens writes: “Mum was taken into hospital just before Christmas, but I brought her home and she died quite quickly and peacefully in her own flat.”

“As you may imagine the family are pretty devastated, but Mum had a very long life and, like my father, she was able to enjoy it right to the end.”

Joan was born in 1920 in Worcester. Having lived in various parts of the country, she and Ken came to Stanhoe where they enjoyed 30 years of retirement. After his death in 2009 she moved down to Gloucestershire in 2010. Here she made many new friends and enjoyed a full life, Jane says.

The funeral will take place in Gloucestershire on Wednesday 18 January at 3.30 pm. You are welcome to contact Jane or phone her on 01453 753064.
