P-51 Mustang fighter crashed after colliding with another Mustang. The pilot was killed. The second aircraft crashed on Syderstone Common.
Beaufighter crashed and burned “on the upslope of the hill before the station, just over the hedge”. The two-man crew were presumably killed. One engine fell nearby.
13 June 1943: a Wellington crashed at night in the park of Stanhoe Hall. Three of the five-man crew survived.
Lockheed Hudson made a forced landing with a group of air cadets on board.
