Until February 2011 this page carried up-to-date details of planning applications. The information was easy to view, and you didn’t have to make a separate trip to the borough council website.

The information was supplied by PlanningAlerts.com, a voluntary project to make UK planning information easily available by “scraping” it from council websites. Unfortunately we had problems with this system, so the information was not complete.

This was possibly in part because although the council uses a well-known planning database called PublicAccess, the set-up seemed a bit different to that used by other councils, so it was proving difficult to get all the data.

More recently the council has changed the front end to its planning database.
