Page calls time

After 25 years at the Crown Inn, Page Clowser will retire in January 2010. Page and Sarah took over the Crown on 5th November 1984 and for more than 20 years Wendy Eckersley has run the Kitchen. The Brewery is now interviewing prospective new tenants, and there has apparently been a lot of interest Terry Stork, trade director at Elgood & Sons Brewery, said: “We want to retain the Crown as a village pub. We have no plans at all to turn it into a gastropub”. He added that likely changes would include an upgrade to the kitchen and a larger dining area, but stressed that this would depend on the final agreement between the brewery and the new tenant.

Mobile Police Station. Will be on The Green, Burnham Market on Wednesday 28th October.

News for Saints Alive

As you will have noticed this months newsletter is a bit sparse. If you have any items of news, views or comments (printable ones please), let me have them for next months issue.

AND FINALLY

The man who in the view of gain thinks of righteousness, who in the view of danger is prepared to give up his life, and who does not forget an old agreement however far back it extends, such a man may he reckoned a complete man.
