Buses, walks and cycling near Stanhoe

Stanhoe is a great base for cycling and we have a few nice local walks. See the other pages in this section for more information on walks, cycle routes and tide times.

For bike hire see our main visitor information page.

Getting out of the village is tricky without a car or a bike. Norfolk Green operates the daily Coasthopper bus service between King’s Lynn and Cromer. The Coasthopper’s nearest stop to Stanhoe is at Burnham Market, which is 4 miles (7 km) away.

The incredible shrinking bus service

Norfolk Green bus in StanhoeLike many rural communities in the UK, Stanhoe has seen a steady erosion of public transport in recent years. We lost our last bus in April 2011, when the Number 32 service operated by Norfolk Green ceased its weekly journey to Fakenham.
